Netflix gave my creative partner and I the opportunity of a lifetime — to help write the script for the official return of Jesse Pinkman.

Our goal was to truly tease our audience — starting the piece off in the middle the New Mexico desert with nothing but the faint outline of an El Camino and the spark of a lighter to draw them in.

From there, we used the El Camino’s radio and a harrowing news report to give fans a reminder of where they were and where they’re headed.

After a just a hint, we gave fans their first glimpse of Jesse since his escape in the Breaking Bad finale.

The teaser came to life alongside Vince Gilligan’s unique vision for the film, grabbing the attention of the internet along the way.
